Growing up on a small family farm in the rolling green countryside of Upstate New York, I was influenced by the innate beauty, balance, and interconnectedness of the natural world. In nature, there is no such thing as waste. With death comes life and every component can be cycled again and again to nourish new growth. I believe nature has a lot to teach us and I love sharing my perspective of this wild journey we call life through all sorts of artistic mediums. Whether it's a sewing machine, digital drawing pad, natural dyes, or simply just paper and pencil, I love to create pieces that bring us back to our roots.
Now living in San Diego, I co-created Lucid Muse as a vessel for creative collaboration and positive change. I believe artistic creation doesn't have to contribute to the destruction of our earth or its inhabitants. In fact, businesses can be a driving force for good. This process is a continuous journey and with each passing month we seek out ways we can strive to do better, learn more, and create positive ripples in our society.View collection
Since first thrifting with my mother in New York at a young age, I've acquired a taste for unique garments that take time to unearth. The energy of the search always proved rewarding once I found that hidden gem to treasure for years to come. As I grew older and moved out to California, I learned more about the environmental and social issues so inextricably linked to industries of fast-fashion. In its active disengaging from these industries, my thrifting took on a new element of personal passion.
Our collective, Lucid Muse, was created in order to combat these destructive, unsustainable systems and simultaneously foster a platform for creative and empowering ventures. I’ve come to learn that while most people agree that shopping secondhand for clothing is a worthy cause, many are discouraged by the time and energy required to move through the heaps of discarded clothing. To better serve those around me, I feel honored to offer my trained eye here in handpicking a collection appealing to both modern and old-school tastes in a fusion uniquely lucid.
I love the color purple, maidenhair ferns, plumeria flower blossoms, painting with watercolors, surfing on a gray day, and dancing with my friends. In my art and endeavors, I hope to inspire people to see the beauty within and without us.View collection
As a kid, finger-painting fed my soul. Decades later, there’s still no better feeling than to be chilling in the sunshine, covered in paint. Beyond drawing and painting, I learned to work with glass and metal in high school, making 3D stained glass and mosaic works. Since then I’ve gone on to weld, wood carve, sew, work with digital media + photography, graphic design, clay, and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I guess one lady’s trash is another lady’s raw materials. What really excites me right now is playing with mixed media and incorporating light design- blending organic and geometric lines, neon and natural colors, and contrasting textures to form multi dimensional sculptural spectacles that spark wonder and bend light (stay tuned…). More than anything, I love to transform interior and outdoor places into ambient, imaginative, thoroughly inclusive spaces where people feel free to be silly, and ideas can manifest into something truly mystical.

Fashion has always been my creative outlet. I remember growing up with uniforms and dress codes, but more importantly free dress days where I would show off the clothes I had carefully chosen but could rarely wear. Today, my closet is in a constant state of downsizing. My goal is to curate the most creatively inspiring personal collection with the fewest possible clothes. The right jacket, or pants, or shoes, or hat creates a mood, but what is more important, even sacred to me, is the process of creating the outfit — mixing pieces in unusual ways and playing with styles, colors, lengths and layers.
Lucid Muse gives me the opportunity to curate a collection beyond what I personally want in my own closet. The idea of someone finding what I’ve picked out as a precious new addition to their own wardrobe is almost more exciting than finding a new addition to my own. And in a market that is one of the top polluters worldwide, it is so important to me to be a part of the sustainable revolution.

It is my greatest joy to share with others, so I’m thrilled to be a co-creator at Lucid Muse. I am most inspired by nature. The vast expansiveness of the desert, the excitement of stumbling across a creek in a pine-filled forest, the salty waves as they roll across your body… are just a few of my favorite things.
Since being a part of the Lucid Muse Collective, I realized my view of art & creativity has been drastically re-defined. I’ve learned art and creativity isn’t just pencils and paint. It’s playfulness, messing up, expressing yourself, and showing up to do the work. Making art is an outlet, and it can take whatever form you want.
Lately, I have been channeling my creative energy into the art and science of herbology. Basically, I want to make dank herbal remedies for you and me, because I believe plants have the power to heal us. Thank you Mother Nature :-) My hope is that these creations invoke creativity in you, and inspire you to create in whatever way you like to express yourself.
Taylor enjoys all avenues of creativity and contributes herbal remedies, jewelry, and digital designs to Lucid Muse.View collection
It's been a journey to identify myself as an artist and acknowledge my innate creativity. I remember when I first began to recognize and appreciate the way I express myself creatively through style - how it felt to piece together the right jacket, earrings, and boots - and tell someone a little about who I am from afar. That inner critic can be so loud. I wonder what we can learn when we quiet it?
The composer Stravinksy said creativity thrives when constrained. It's amazing what we discover when we learn the value of simplicity. Minimalism, gratitude, collaboration, creativity, and sustainability are all aligned. My hope is that by creating in community with one another, we can pour a little love, inspiration, and understanding back into this beautiful beautiful world. Stay groovy lovely creatures.View collection
I have always believed the best way to worship nature is with your imagination, and that this, in partner with a fierce commitment to justice, is what brought lucid-muse together. This incredible collective of women has welcomed my spooky self in, and has not only embraced but so encouraged the edgy, occasionally strange, designs I bring to the table. On my pursuit of truth, I’ve reached a terribly wonderful contradiction — I want to be a writer, but am most interested in undefinable things. Sick jokes. Really though, it's great fun, and I would never be so happy if I had it all figured out. I am playful with all my ideas, perspectives, and creative outlets resulting in a broad and original set of designs brought right to your door. You’ll be hearing my voice on the blog, and get to know me through some of my designs. If I could do anything in my life, it would be to inspire something in you; and encourage you to pursue your most authentic self. Don’t let any small minds keep you down; fight for truth, kill illusions, make your partner come, and resolve your trauma damn it. You deserve to be free. Catch you on the astral plane floozy.View collection
I moved from Boston to San Diego in 2018 on a quest to find my inner happiness. I struggled with depression and feeling as if my life had no meaning. Being out here I not only found myself but I also found a family. With the support and love I received from the Lucid Muse girls I was able to channel my inner creativity and blossom into the artist I am today. Growing up my escape was video games. I played everything from World of War Craft to Call of Duty to League of Legends. My passion for magic and the unknown influences my art today. In subtle ways I incorporate movement and empowerment in all my pieces.
My name is Erin and I’m a writer/consultant/extra pair of hands for Lucid Muse. I got two degrees and now I’m wondering why I did that because the world is falling apart and it really doesn’t matter. I find inspiration in childish things like playing pretend, silly voices, random singing and sock puppets. I write poetry. I’m passionate about kindness. I’m a 23 year old so I organize my own playdates now although I still struggle with scheduling consistent doctor’s appointments.
